Bio:
David Jakob is a photographer and director. He is best known for his portrait and fashion work and is based in Helsinki. David is a quiet observer of the intricate things around him – through his lens, he's able to condense them into delicate minimalistic stories. Born in Germany, home in Finland (puhun suomea!). Recently returned from a long stay in Japan.

Exhibitions & Achievements:
Passage, 2022, Place M, Tokyo
On view were 10 photographs with accompanying haikus – A visual notebook on the idea of passing through. A brief document of life in Japan, capturing the light and color and lasting memories of a brief, passing time.

Our dance film “Habitat: A Short Film on Dance and Architecture” was screened at the 2022 CineDans Festival. Directed by David Jakob, movement direction by Jack Traylen.
